2013  AND SO IT BEGINS

Unlike last spring,, with little to no frost after the beginning of March,  this year has been more normal  with April temperatureson the cool, to cold side.

Late but always a welcome sign the croci have show their faces.. April 7..

and with the sunshine and the ground tillable  ( for the moment)  the first of the early early seeds get to go into the earth..
Spinach

Beds are all dug , feels good to have dirt nder my fingernails, and to fill s my lungs when an endless supply of fresh spring air, perfumed with the scent of warming soil.

  1. You're ahead of me here in Eastern Passage. Up until this week the ground has been undiggable. It looks like spring may be arriving tomorrow. Gosh I hope so, coz I want to get my hands dirty too !
